Put Three Pounds of Onions in a CrockPot Overnight to Make the Best Soup Ever

If you have friends or relatives coming over for dinner, preparing a warm soup in a combination with a healthy, colorful salad will definitely be a great choice!

Yet, this soup cannot be done in a hurry, as its preparation requires a significant amount of time, even though combining its ingredients will take you a few minutes.

Moreover, onions are incredibly nutritious and act as powerful natural antibiotics, and since they strengthen the immune system, they are especially helpful if regularly consumed during this time of the year. They support health in numerous ways and prevent many illness and diseases.

According to Victoria Jarzabkowski, a nutritionist with the Fitness Institute of Texas at the University of Texas at Austin:

“Onions are super-healthy. They are excellent sources of vitamin C, sulphuric compounds, flavonoids, and phytochemicals.”

She adds:

“I like to recommend eating onions because they add flavor without salt and sugar. Onions are low in calories (45 per serving), very low in sodium, and contain no fat or cholesterol. Furthermore, onions contain fiber and folic acid, a B vitamin that helps the body make healthy new cells. “

So, here is how to prepare this delicious onion soup:
