Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of Brussels sprouts
  • 5 cloves garlic (peeled)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 4 to 6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Instructions:

Heat the oven to 400 degrees, and heat the oil in a cast iron pan over medium-high heat.

Trim the bottom part of the Brussels sprouts off, slice them in half, and place them cut-side down into the pan. Add the garlic, and season with salt and pepper.

Cook without stirring until the Brussels sprouts start to brown on the bottom.

Next, transfer the pan to the oven, and roast, shaking the pan every 5 minutes.

After 10-20 minutes, when the Brussels sprouts are brown and tender, remove from heat, stir in balsamic vinegar, and enjoy!
