The Whole World is Crazy For This “Japanese Cheesecake” With Only 3 Ingredients!

There are several video floating around the internet right now of the Japanese Cheesecake that only requires 3 simple ingredients.

As delicious as that style of cheesecake is (yes, I’ve tried it), it is FAR from healthy. Something as decadent as cheesecake doesn’t always have to be unhealthy, as the following recipe proves. By using low-fat, and “light” ingredients, you can create a dessert that is not only delicious, but is also void of all those empty calories.

No Bake — 3-Ingredient Japanese Cheesecake

Ingredients:

  • 1 (12-ounce) container low-fat (1%) cottage cheese
  • 2 (0.3-ounce) box sugar-free strawberry jello
  • 1 (8-ounce) container frozen light whipped topping thawed

You’ll also need 2 pre-made light graham cracker crusts, but you can substitute these for any pre-made pie crust that you want to use.

The first thing you do is, put the cottage cheese in a blender. Prepare the 2 boxes of the Jello; use 1 cup of hot water for one box, and 1 cup of cold water for the other. Before it jells, add to cottage cheese, and blend until smooth. Pour the mixture evenly into the pie crust and refrigerate until the cheesecake is set. It really is that simple.

What is great about the Japanese Cheesecake recipe is that it is a blank canvas. You can add anything you want to the top of the cheesecake, but to keep it simple and healthy, all you need is some fresh fruit to garnish, and you have a delicious, simple dessert.
