One of the most common back pain types is lower back pain, and it affects millions of people all around the world.
Approximately 80% of adults experience this pain at some point in life. It affects both men and women equally, and its intensity might vary from mild to severe.
The causes of lower back pain include improper body posture, unhealthy lifestyle habits, sedentary lifestyles, long hours spent sitting, as well as genetics, age, weight level, fitness level, pregnancy, etc.
Yet, chronic lower back pain can be alleviated in a completely safe and inexpensive way, by stretching and normal daily activities.
The following stretch is extremely helpful and it provides relief in a short time.
Needed props:
- 1 belt (pants, or makeshift strap of scarf)
- 1 cushion (optional)
This yoga stretch does not require any previous yoga experience. Just relax and follow the guidelines. It will soothe the constant low back pain, prevent further development, boost lower back flexibility, support proper body posture, and strengthen the core muscles.
It is best to perform this stretch before going to bed. Try it now and you can forget about the pain in the lower back!
Tip: In the case of herniated disk in the lower back, avoid this stretch.
